In an effort to fix the daily routine of logging on to the sign server to restart my Ustream.tv feed, I have moved the web cam feed over to Justin.tv for the time being. I am still not convinced the issue is not with the hardware but it’s worth a try. I have tried every possible USB / Power Management option I can think of and at this point seems to be the best option (short of removing the web cam from the hub). I’m going to give Justin.tv a try for a week or two to see if there is any improvement.
On a side note…I have also converted the c# twitter polling script to a Windows service. So far it has been pretty stable and is great when I lose power (as I did on Sunday). The service came right up and started feeding the sign.
